Fateh Box Office Collection Day 2: Sonu Sood’s Action Drama Earns 2 Crore, Stays Steady

Sonu Sood’s latest action-drama, Fateh, managed to collect ?2 crore on its second day at the Indian box office. Released on January 10, 2025, the film marks Sood's directorial debut and his return to Hindi cinema after three years. Backed by Shakti Sagar Productions and Zee Studios, Fateh was released during the Makar Sankranti weekend. However, despite the ideal timing, it has struggled to build significant momentum at the box office.

On its opening day, Fateh earned ?2 crore, but the film’s earnings remained flat on the second day. With ?4 crore in total collections after two days, the movie has yet to show the expected growth, leaving questions about its ability to sustain audience interest. While the action-packed storyline and the star power of Sonu Sood and Jacqueline Fernandez initially generated curiosity, the film is still struggling to stand out amidst stiff competition.

Fateh is facing tough competition from other notable releases. The Hindi-dubbed version of the pan-Indian film Game Changer, starring Ram Charan and Kiara Advani, is performing strongly in Hindi markets. Additionally, the re-release of Hrithik Roshan’s iconic debut film Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai on its 25th anniversary has been drawing nostalgic audiences back to theatres. Meanwhile, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, continues to perform well even after its re-release, adding to the competition.

In Fateh, Sonu Sood plays the role of Fateh, an ex-special operations officer, while Jacqueline Fernandez portrays Khushi, an ethical hacker. The film also features veteran actors Vijay Raaz and Naseeruddin Shah in crucial roles. Despite its promising premise, Fateh will need a strong word-of-mouth campaign and continued support to compete with these other high-performing films.

As the Makar Sankranti weekend progresses, Fateh has one last chance to capitalize on the holiday audience and break away from its steady but limited box office performance.
