With the kind of year 2016 was, we definitely are in need for rejuvenation. This is exactly why we're glad Pantone (the world's authority on color) announced Greenery as the Color of the year. Green taking the center-stage does away with the idea of ensembles revolving around a neutral color, piquing our interest in a brighter basic

The Forecast

Green being the symbol of freshness is literally an indication for turning a new leaf. This year is going to be all about breaking out of patterns and will see a lot of spring/summer fashion in Greenery and similar shades.

To begin with style prep for 2017, we picked out fashion moments of some of our TV fashionistas. Scroll through for perfect excuses to hop onto the new color trend-

Mouni Roy wore two beautiful shades of green. The ethnic ensemble was a refreshing shade of green and the emerald gown blends right in with the colour palette of transition. We definitely see the shade transitioning from day to night.

Niti Taylor gave us a dollop of inspiration from her instagram feed. We are in love with the Green cropped top the Gulam actress sported. It fits right into 2017's summer wardrobe.

Early 2016 saw a bright Helly Shah on the sets of Swaragini, flaunting a green saree. This year, we hope to see a lot more of the hue on screen.

Sukirti Khandpal and Surbhi Jyoti put up some greenspiration and the splash of green hues to the color trend. Are we taking style notes already?

Bollywood saw some futuristic fashion moments too. Deepika Padukone rocked shades of green in ethnic ensembles too.

Why we think it will last

What really did it for this trend is a designer-stamped arrival on the runways. The year ended with a statement that proves black isn't the winter neutral anymore. So, why should spring/summer have it any other way? We sure think it will carry ahead.
