Farhan Akhtar performance halted at a college fest as stage collapses: Pic

On Wednesday, during the preparations for Farhan Akhtar's performance at a college festival, the stage collapsed, causing chaos and panic among the attendees. The incident occurred due to a dust storm that hit the area, leading to the collapse of the scaffolding and light and sound fixtures.

A viral video of the incident showed the stage crashing down, and several people ran towards the stage to check if anyone was injured. Fortunately, no injuries were reported at the scene.

Farhan Akhtar, who was scheduled to perform live on-stage at the event on the 5th and 6th of April, was not present at the location at the time of the incident. It is unclear whether the event will be rescheduled or cancelled due to the incident.

Such incidents are a reminder of the importance of proper safety measures and precautions during events, particularly those involving large crowds and complex equipment. Event organizers must prioritize the safety of performers, crew members, and attendees to prevent potential accidents and ensure that everyone remains safe during the event.

Talking about his work front, Farhan is also currently looking for locations to begin shooting his upcoming directorial 'Jee Le Zaraa' with Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif in lead roles. The director was recently seen in the deserts of Rajasthan, scouting for locations to shoot the film. 

Written by Zoya Akhtar, Farhan Akhtar and Reema Kagti, the film promises to be another tale of friendship following the lineage of 'Dil Chahta Hai' and 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara'.

'Jee Le Zaraa' marks Farhan's return to director's chair after over a decade. He had earlier helmed films like 'Dil Chahta Hai', 'Don' and 'Don 2'.
