Fans praise Shah Rukh Khan for gesture at Lata Mangeshkar's funeral; Say S in the name means secular India

'The Nightingale of India' Lata Mangeshkar left for heavenly abode yesterday, February 6th at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. The whole country mourns her death, which is certainly a big loss. Since the news was reported, fans have been using social media to express their condolences. Many, from across the industry, came to the crematorium for the final respect. 

From Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Sachin Tendulkar to many Bollywood stars such as Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Aamir Khan, and Vidya Balan, everyone came to bid adieu to the singing legend. 

One thing that caught everyone's attention was that SRK was offering dua and touched Lata Ji's feet while paying his respect. Since then, internet users have been praising the actor's gesture.

In the viral images and videos, Shah Rukh Khan is seen appearing with a bouquet, placing them on the coffin, offering a dua, walking around, and touching Lata Mangeshkar's feet.

The pictures of him offering dua are indisputably beautiful.

One user commented, 

“The 'S' letter in Shahrukh Khan stands for secular. king khan and his royality above religion only Humanity.” 

Some users wrote that they love SRK, while one wrote, “Another reason why I love SRK”. 

Someone also mentioned, “This one made me cry such a kind-hearted man SRK is.”

Meanwhile, Lata Mangeshkar was draped in the tricolor flag when she was taken to Shivaji Park in Mumbai. Lata Mangeshkar's brother, Hridaynath Mangeshkar, lit the funeral pyre of the veteran singer. 

Even Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Shivaji Park to meet Mangeskar's family, comforted them, and gave his final respect to the singer. Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, NCP chief Sharad Pawar, and cricket player Sachin Tendulkar were also present to pay their last respects.
