'Family can wait but not reality shows' Jasveer Kaur

Jasveer Kaur the famous vamp of Indian television has recently won Zee’s Ek Se Badhkar Ek. Currently she is on sky nine with another reality show in her kitty as she has joined the gang of bahus for Sahara One’s Saas V/s Bahu.

Here is a chit-chat with this bubbly actress to know about her career and family plans.

To whom do you give credit of winning Ek Se Badhkar Ek?
Well definitely I feel my partner Raja is the one to whom I’ll be giving credit for winning the show. He is a very fabulous singer and also popular. It was a tough competition opposite Kushal and to be frank enough, I didn’t expect to win also. Currently I’m very happy and enjoying the success.

Why did you opt for reality shows one after another?
The current trend is so. I enjoy dancing and by God’s grace everything fell in place. My first reality show was Mr and Miss TV then it was Ek Se Badkar Ek and now finally its Saas V/s Bahu. I was looking out for an opportunity and when these shows were offered to me I just grabbed them. All my three shows did not clash and thus it was more fun.

What do you have to say about the recent controversy that occurred on these two reality shows Saas v/s Bahu and Ek Se Badhkar Ek?
Well I can’t say anything about Ek Se Badhkar Ek as I feel there was no controversy. If Abhishek re-entered with another partner in the show, the decision was primarily of the channel. I feel it’s the part of the game and I have no say in that.

About Saas v/s Bahu, I would just say that I was not lying. I really have a bad knee injury and had been consulting the doctor for the same. I had this pain and during the performance I twisted my leg. I asked them for one more chance and also said they need not give me marks but wanted to perform. After the second performance I just sat, but they thought that I had fallen and was lying about my injury. I can’t say more than this.

What medication are you taking for your injury?
Well I have done everything from Ayurvedic to Homeopathy, but don’t see a cure. Besides that I don’t have time to rest with so many things in the pipeline. Currently I’m going through acupuncture therapy and it is giving me relief. But my doctor has suggested that I rest which is not possible for me. After finishing this Sahara One reality show, I’ll take a break; I plan to go to Dubai with my hubby.

What’s there in the kitty besides reality shows?
Well I’m looking out for some positive roles in fiction shows. Now I have been doing negative for two years and would like to experiment with other roles too. I don’t mind doing negative and positive at the same time. I would also love to do some action packed serials like CID. Let’s see what is in store!!

What’s brewing on personal front? Any plans to start family?
Well not now, as for now its reality shows (Laughs). Well its still time as both our careers are shaping up; so maybe after a year or two, we will think about it. For now family can wait, but not reality shows.
