Failure of a show is always disheartening: Balraj Syal on ‘Zee Comedy Show’

‘Zee Comedy Show’ aired on Zee Tv with sheer enthusiasm. Many comedians and actors were a part of the show. The cast and crew worked round the clock but the show wasn’t that big of a success. The show didn’t manage to impress the audience that much and it was axed after 30 episodes.

In a candid chat with India Forums, actor and comedian Balraj Syal opened up on his thoughts about a project’s failure. He said, “An artist puts in his hundred percent and work extremely hard to make any project successful. However, when the project fails to strike a chord with the viewers and gets low ratings, it obviously affects the people involved. Irrespective of the ratings, an artist gives his/her hundred percent to the show and if the desired results don’t show up, then it obviously hurts. Failure of a show is always disheartening. However, there’s nothing much to do about it as everything is in the hands of the viewers. We as actors and comedians, give our all to a project and rest the audience decides the fate of any show”.

Balraj was seen in two major reality shows ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 10’ and ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karoge’ while his career was on peak, the lockdown happened. He said, “Well, I entered the industry as I wanted to be an actor. However, since I love to spread smiles and happiness, I realized that I can do comedy and my focus shifted there. However, after shows like ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 10’ and ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karoge’ happened, I was hopeful to get other opportunities but then lockdown happened. Well, I’m in talks for a few things, hoping for it to materialize and I would be back on the screens soon”.
