Ekta's Mahabharat to roll from 22nd August

Mythological shows seem to be the latest brand of television shows that are on the rounds of hogging the limelight. If last week, it was Chandra Prakash Dwivedi’s Mahabharata that was in the news as rumors were abuzz that the veteran producer was considering quitting the project, this week it’s our very own daily soap queen Ekta Kapoor’s Mahabharata that is in the limelight.

Ekta’s Balaji Telefilms plans to kick-start the epic show, Mahabharata on August 22^nd and the show will air on 9X. A reliable source reveals to us, “After a lot of debilitations it has finally been decided that Mahabharata will go on air from August 22^nd. There will be a special 10-minute prelude to the show on the 21^st. The time slot for the show is not yet confirmed, but the show’s star cast will have some of the Balaji loyalists like Ronit Roy, Kiran Karmarkar, Saakshi Tanwar, Hiten Tejwani, Chetan Hansraj, Akashdeep Sehgal et al playing some of the pivotal roles.”
