Drug Case: Deepika Padukone's Manager Karishma Prakash Summoned by NCB

The Narcotics Control Bureau has summoned Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone's manager Karishma Prakash. Karishma works at a talent agency KWAN along with Jaya Saha, who was Sushant Singh Rajput's talent manager.

Besides, the NCB has also summoned Dhruv Chitgopekar, CEO of the Kwan talent management agency and called him for questioning today, on September 22. A top Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) official related to the probe said, "We have summoned Prakash, who works as a manager at Kwan and its CEO Dhruv".

The official said that they have been summoned as some whatsApp chats showed they were allegedly involved in the drug case.

This comes after Jaya Saha was interrogated by the NCB, who spilled some major details about the Bollywood drug nexus. Reportedly, Jaya also dropped some big Bollywood names who are allegedly part of consuming drugs and illegal substances.

Popular Bollywood names like Shraddha Kapoor and Deepika Padukone have surfaced after some WhatsApp chats of the stars talking about drugs were leaked. Times Now accessed chats dated from October 2017 wherein Deepika can be allegedly seen asking for "maal" from Karishma Prakash. 

According to a report in India TV, Deepika Padukone will be summoned by the NCB by the end of this week.

Previously, the NCB confirmed that they will be issuing summons to Bollywood actors Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh and fashion designer Simone Kambhatta this week for questioning in connection to the drug angle emerged in the probe of Sushant Singh Rajput's death case.

The NCB has already arrested Sushant's girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik, Sushant's house manager Samuel Miranda, personal staff Dipesh Sawant and over 15 others in the case so far.

In other news, Rhea Chakraborty's judicial custody comes to an end today.
