Drashti Dhami in Ekta Kapoor's next?

As already reported in the media, Shaleen Malhotra, who rose to fame with Arjun will be making his comeback to small screen with Soap Queen Ekta Kapoor's next show on Star Plus.

But according to the latest reports, the makers of the show have approached popular actress Drashti Dhami to play the main lead opposite Shaleen. Drashti, who became a household name with popular shows Geet Hui Sabse Parayi and Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon, was last seen in Zee TV's Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani. 

According to our source, she has already shot for her mock. The show is loosely inspired by Shah Rukh Khan movie Pardes.

"We contacted Drashti who told us, "It's not true. I have not even been approached. Am currently busy chilling with my family."

Well, Drashti certainly looks like an apt choice to essay Mahima Chaudhary's character from Pardes. What say?
