A major fire broke out early Monday morning on the sets of Star Plus’ popular show Anupamaa, located in Goregaon’s Film City, Mumbai. The cause of the fire is still unknown, but the damage to the set appears to be quite severe. Videos from the site show large parts of the set engulfed in flames, with thick smoke rising into the sky. Firefighters and police quickly reached the location to bring the situation under control.

According to a report by IANS, five fire brigade vehicles were immediately dispatched when the fire was reported. In a video shared on Twitter, large sections of the set can be seen burning as firefighters work actively to douse the flames. Thankfully, no injuries or casualties have been reported so far.

IANS wrote on Twitter: “Mumbai: A fire broke out early morning at the Anupamaa serial set in Mumbai’s Goregaon Film City. Five fire brigade vehicles responded promptly, and no injuries have been reported. Firefighters are actively working to control the blaze.”

As of now, neither the production team nor the channel has released an official statement. However, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s (BMC) Mumbai Fire Brigade shared that the fire started in a tent structure on the set. The incident was declared a Level-I emergency at 6:26 am.
