Dostana 2 gets another male lead; Tabu’s nephew to star opposite Kartik Aaryan in Dostana 2!

Ever since filmmaker Karan Johar announced the sequel of his 2008 hit movie Dostana with a video that revealed, Kartik Aaryan and Janhvi Kapoor will be playing the lead characters along with a fresh face, there have been speculations about various actors being considered for the role. From Rajkummar Rao, Siddharth Malhotra to Siddhant Chaturvedi, many names were speculated to fill the slot for a parallel lead with Kartik.

But looks like the wait for the second male lead in Dostana 2 is finally over!

According to a recent report in In.com, Fateh Randhawa – Vindhu Dara Singh’s son and Tabu’s nephew, has been cast for the role.

Fateh, son of former actress Farah Naaz, will be making his Bollywood debut with this project. In an interview with an entertainment portal, Vindhu Dara Singh confirmed the news, he was quoted by in.com,

My son is now coming as a hero. We used to think we are the only ones who know how to act. But when we saw him, we were dumbfounded. Fateh has just turned 19, but he's very dedicated. You know how Farah and Tabu are; he's being prepared absolutely well. It's but sensible. If you know you have to go into acting, it's better to not waste time here and there and go straight for it. And he will be a rock star. The way he acts, I can't believe he's my son! He has probably one among the category of Tabu, who is one of the finest actors.

Earlier, it was also reported that Kartik Aaryan and Janhvi Kapoor will not be playing love interests, but they will be seen playing on-screen siblings.

Produced by Karan Johar and directed by Tarun Mansukhani, the romantic comedy Dostana released in 2008 was a huge hit. The movie starred John Abraham, Priyanka Chopra and Abhishek Bachchan in the lead roles.
