In the upcoming track of the show, the viewers will get to see Emily joining the Rathi family while going to the village to impress Maasa. Our sources have informed us that Shafiq Ansari who was last seen as Manhar Kaka in Colors' Muktibandhan, Deepak Gheewala who was last seen as Krishnakant Vasavda in R.K. Laxman Ki Duniya and Pallavi Rao recently seen in Punar Vivah have been roped in the show as new entrants.
Shafiq Ansari confirms the news saying, "I will be playing the character of Thakursa in the show and it feels great to be a part of the show. I have already started shooting for it."
When contacted Deepak Gheewala, he said, "I will be playing the character of Maasa's (Ragini Shah) husband in the show. I have shot for 1 day and it is a lot of fun. I am enjoying it". Interestingly, Deepak is Ragini Shah's real life husband too.
When contacted Pallavi Rao, she told Tellybuzz, "I will be playing the character of a Banjaran and it is a very interesting character which I haven't played before. I will start shooting for it probably from tomorrow. Diya Aur Baati Hum is a popular show and has been my favorite too. It feels great to be part of the show. I am thankful to Sumeetji for being so nice. I have been a part of this production house in Main Lakshami Tere Aangan Ki and Punar Vivah as the main negative character (widow). I had to leave the show because of some medical issue. So, it's a sweet gesture from their side for understanding my problem and offering this role to me. They are wonderful people to work with."
Will it be a smooth sailing journey for Emily and Maasa at the village? It will be interesting to watch as a lot of drama awaits the viewers of Diya Aur Baati Hum.
