Anupamaa set fire: Shahi Production issues clarification amid safety concerns

A major fire broke out early Monday morning on the sets of Star Plus’ hit show Anupamaa, which is filmed in Mumbai’s Film City, Goregaon. The exact reason for the fire is still unknown, but visuals from the location suggest that the damage is quite serious. Huge parts of the set were seen burning, with thick smoke rising into the air. Firefighters and police quickly arrived at the scene to handle the emergency.

According to a report shared by IANS, five fire engines were immediately sent when the fire was reported. A video shared on Twitter shows flames spreading through the set while fire personnel work hard to bring the fire under control. Thankfully, there have been no reports of any injuries or loss of life.

Sharing the update on Twitter, IANS wrote, “Mumbai: A fire broke out early morning at the Anupamaa serial set in Mumbai’s Goregaon Film City. Five fire brigade vehicles responded promptly, and no injuries have been reported. Firefighters are actively working to control the blaze.”

At the time of the incident, no unit members were present on set—only the security personnel and set staff were there, who were all safe. No animals were harmed, and proper care was taken for their safety. The fire department and all concerned authorities are currently investigating the reason, especially since there was no shooting on the set and the main power lights were turned off. The exact cause of the fire is still being determined."
