Director Anil Sharma Refutes Ameesha Patel’s Claim of Gadar 2 Climax Being Changed Without Her Acknowledgement

Ameesha Patel has once again sparked controversy by accusing Gadar 2 director Anil Sharma of altering the film’s climax without informing her. She previously expressed feeling ‘cheated,’ but Anil Sharma has now hit back, rejecting her claims outright.

In a conversation with Vickey Lalwani, Anil Sharma dismissed the allegations, saying, he reflected on their early days of working together, recalling how Ameesha trained with him for hours to perfect her role as Sakina. However, he also took a subtle dig at her, saying,

Everyone is free to share their opinion. I don’t throw stones in dirt. For me, she is still part of the family. Woh bade ghar ki beti hai, bade ghar ke bacche moody hote haina, woh bhi moody hai.

Anil also mentioned Ameesha’s privileged background, revealing how she would arrive at rehearsals in a luxury car, adorned with solitaire diamonds. “She wasn’t a very good performer, but she learned it… she had that attitude that mostly kids who come from rich families have, and that fitted my character,” he stated.

Regarding the changed climax, Anil outright denied her claims and challenged her understanding of filmmaking. “If she has that much understanding, then she is free to make the film. It’s an open market. Who is stopping her?” he said. Addressing Ameesha’s claim that Sakina was supposed to travel to Pakistan with Tara Singh, Anil dismissed the idea. “Is Pakistan a tourist centre that Sunny Deol will take everyone there? Tara Singh pagal hai kya jo biwi ko bhi leke jaega?”

When asked if Ameesha pressured him to tweak the climax or involved the production studio, Anil refused to elaborate. “That all kept happening — I don’t want to get into that,” he concluded.
