2018 seems to be a good year for television celebrities. While quite a few of them have already bagged and are currently shooting for their bollywood ventures, others have already been roped in for future projects.

And getting added to that list is actress Dipika Kakar. Dipika rose to fame with her role as Simar in Colors' Sasural Simar Ka and after being a part of the show for 6 long years, the actress parted ways with it. She then participated in Nach Baliye 8 alongside her real life baliye Shoaib Ibrahim, where the latter proposed marriage to Dipika in true filmy style.

And while the couple's die hard fans are still awaiting news on their marriage, Dipika gave them another good news to share.

Yes, the actress joins the long list of TV hotties who are all set to take over the big screen this year.

And Dipika is all set to romance Gurmeet Choudhary in her Bollywood Debut, JP Dutta's upcoming film, Paltan! She made sure to share this good news with her fans.

JP Dutta's Paltan, which is based on the Indo-China war of 1962, stars Jackie Shroff, Harshvardhan Rane, Arjun Rampal, Rohit Roy, Gurmeet Chaudhary and Luv Sinha. Dipika will be joining Esha Gupta, Monica Gill and Sonal Chauhan in the film.

The entire cast is currently shooting in Punjab and bonding.
