Mumbai is known for its fast life and hectic schedule. Right from a street worker to a top businessman, everyone is busy, running around to earn bread for themselves and their family.

Known to be a city which fulfils every human's dream, Dipika Kakar too came to Mumbai to chase her dream and in one fell swoop, she enchanted the audience with her dazzling personality.

Now that the fine looking lady has completed a decade in this industry and Mumbai, let's get to know about her journey so far!

Dipika, how has your journey been so far in terms of friends, relationships and career?

The last 10 years of mine have seen a lot of ups and downs, which have made me a much stronger person. I have made a lot of good relations and friendship in these 10 years which will always stay with me. Without those people, nothing would be possible for me in this city!

There must have been many anxieties when you were finding a stepping stone in this field of acting... how has it helped you change as a person?

According to me, this field is all about luck! I am thankful to God that my struggle period was not too long here. I had done that one portfolio shoot before I started off and 8 months after that I got my first show, which was great. I am kind of an introvert person so being in front of the camera was kind of challenging for me, but somehow I did it! There are a lot of people whom I will always be thankful to- the director of my very first show Abhay Chabra and close friends Shoaib Ibrahim, Deepak Ramola, Abhishek Sharma, Jyotsna Chadola and Saba Ibrahim.

This industry has made you one of the most popular faces on TV today. Please elaborate.

I am really thankful for that. And thankful to my fans for all the support and love they have given me! I am not very internet savvy but now I am quite active, as this is the only way to connect with them. I also want to say that Mumbai truly is my city of dreams, and I have come a long way since the time I stepped into Mumbai! It is also quite a proud moment for me when people now recognize my parents as Dipika's parents!

What have you learnt in these 10 years personally? What is that one thing Mumbai has taught you?

There are no shortcuts! You have to go through the hard way and there will be a lot of times where you will fall but also get up, and God will definitely take care of you.

And the television industry...?

It is one of the best places you can work in. Yes, there are long work hours, but you don't carry any work home, and honestly I am most satisfied with being in this industry!

OK, A QUICK FAST FIVE-
