Colors’ show ‘Junooniyat’ is getting the love of the audiences. The show was quite anticipated one for a long time. The first few episodes looked promising and audiences are eagerly waiting to see Jahaan, Elahi and Jordan start their new journey to win a musical competition. The trio has different motives to win the competition but one thing that remains constant is their ‘junoon’ for music.

The current track of the show revolves around Elahi’s wedding being fixed with an extremely aggressive person while Jahaan has gotten to stay at Dharmendra’s PG. Dharmendra happens to be Elahi’s neighbour. Jordan is annoyed with Elahi for challenging his passion for music. He wants to prove himself to her by hook or crook.

Jordan is played by popular actor Gautam Vig who was also a part of Colors’ show ‘Bigg Boss 16’. While the character is quite strong, did you know Gautam dropped the offer before giving a nod to the same?

In a candid chat with India Forums, Gautam revealed, “I was in talks with the producers since a long time. I had also auditioned with them during the leap in ‘Udaariyaan’. And when Jordan’s character came my way, I was a little apprehensive on shifting the base to Chandigarh. However, the character in the show is so strong that I was compelled to do the show. I felt very strongly about the character and whoever I spoke to, stated that I am ‘Jordon’, if they were so convinced, I was sure that the fans would also relate to my character. Jordon and I share a lot of similarities. He loves his mom and has some issues with his father, he his passionate but a loving son to his mother and all these qualities I can very well relate to”.

When asked about strained relationship with his father in real-life, Gautam said, “I wouldn’t really call it a strained relationship. However, we had difference of opinion because he cares for me and I respect that. My parents love me a lot and are proud of what I’ve achieved so far”.
