Did Ekta Kapoor just CONFIRM Shaheer Sheikh's next project?

There has been a lot of buzz surrounding Prithvi Vallabh maker Annirudh Pathak's adaptation of Mughal-e-Azam on Colors with the same name and how Shaheer Sheikh has been roped in to play Salim in the show.

And while neither Shaheer himself, nor producer Anirudh Pathak confirmed the former's inclusion in the project, a third party had indeed revealed that Shaheer is the next Salim on television.

It is none other than Ekta Kapoor. Ekta's comment on Shaheer's picture only adds a stamp of confirmation to news that he is playing Salim in his television comeback.

Along with Shaheer's name and Sonarika Bhadoria being roped in for Anarkali's role, other actors like Nivedita Bhattacharya, Parvati Sehgal, Gurdeep Kohli, Shahbaz Khan and Gireesh Sahdev among others have been roped in for the show.

Well, considering that this project is being helmed by Anirudh Pathak, who impressed us all with his larger than life picturisation of Prithvi Vallabh, we have no qualms that he will do complete justice to Mughal-e-Azam too.
