The movie - which welcomes back Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra - also sees Aamir Khan stepping into the role of a villain.
If Dhoom 3 remained at it's original release date, the film would have clashed with the sequel of last years mega blockbuster, Dabangg 2. However, it has been heard that it was Aamir's decision to postpone the release of Dhoom 3, in
bid not to collide against good buddy Salman, along with the fact that
they would not be able to finish the shooting of the film in the
scheduled time. Salman too has reciprocated earlier by switching the
release date of his YRF film, Ek Tha Tiger, so it doesn't come up against Aamir's film directed by Reema Kagti. Seems like these two friends are always on a look out for each other!
Race 2, on the other hand, is facing problem of its own but not, as some rumours seem to claim, because Priyanka Chopra has been pulled into the project. Apparently the sequel - which stars Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Sonakshi Sinha - has been pushed back from it's release date of May 2012 to accommodate Deepika.
But whilst the actress can now commit to the shoots, it has left Sonakshi Sinha in a lurch as the movie may now clash with her sequel for Dabangg.

It will be interesting to see whether the anticipated Race flick is postponed even further, or a new actress is pulled on board despite the numbers of problems the filmmakers faced when finalizing the cast the first time round. Whatever the problem, here's wishing both movies all the luck!
