Dharmendra & Mumtaz reunite after all these years as they appear on a reality show

On very rare occasions we get to witness two veterans together and today was that day. Bollywood veteran stars Dharmendra and Mumtaz, made a rare public appearance together as they appeared hand-in-hand to film an episode of a reality show. When the actors had glowing things to say about one another, they were papped at the backstage on the set of the show.

The legendary duo collaborated on a number of hits, including Jheel Ke Uss Paar from 1973 as well as Loafer and Aadmi Aur Insaan. Well  Mumtaz said something about Dharmendra as they made their way from their vanity trucks to the site and it made us all go in awe of their warm friendship, “He is my friend. Mein hamesha unse beech mein milti thi. Yahan shooting pe pehli baar aaye hain (I have met him a couple of times but we have come for shooting for the first time).”

To which Dharm ji said, “Yeh (Mumtaz) industry ki jaan hai (She is the life of the industry).” It made Mumtaz smile and ask, “What about you?” He continued, “Set pe aati thi gehma gehmi shuru ho jaati thi (There used to be hustle and bustle on the set when she used to enter).”

While Mumtaz has taken a break from the big screens, Dharmendra will soon be seen in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, directed by Karan Johar.

Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani stars Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in the lead role along with Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi in pivotal roles. The film was earlier slated to release on February 10 this year, but was postponed to April release.
