Dhanush's 'Captain Miller' all set for it's OTT debut: Find streaming details here

Today, Prime Video has announced the exclusive global streaming premiere of the much-anticipated Tamil period action-adventure drama film, Captain Miller. Directed by Arun Matheswaran, who also shares the writing credits with Arunraja Kamaraj and Madhan Karky, the film is the first installment of a captivating trilogy. Produced by Sathya Jyothi Films, Captain Miller boasts an ensemble cast featuring the versatile Dhanush in the lead role, supported by Shiva Rajkumar, Nassar, Sundeep Kishan, Priyanka Mohan, and Nivedhithaa Sathish.

Captain Miller has already garnered widespread acclaim from both critics and audiences for its compelling narrative, stellar performances, and contemporary relevance. Set against the backdrop of pre-independence India, the film unfolds the gripping tale of Analeesan, also known as Eesa (played by Dhanush). 

Following the death of his mother, Eesa idles away his time in the village, while his elder brother, Sengola (Shiva Rajkumar), actively engages in the Indian Independence movement. When faced with conflict and ostracization from the villagers, Eesa makes a pivotal decision to join the British Indian army to earn respect. Renamed Miller by the British, Eesa becomes part of a battalion involved in a brutal attack against local protesters. Deeply affected by the violence, he leaves the army to transform into the revolutionary 'Captain Miller.'

Director Arun Matheswaran expresses his vision for the film, stating, “Captain Miller is set in the 1930s and tells the journey of a man fighting for freedom, making it not only engaging but also very emotional. The film showcases Dhanush in a way the audience has never seen before, and it has been incredibly rewarding to see the appreciation the film has received. Scheduled for an exclusive streaming release on February 9, Captain Miller will be available in Tamil, with dubbed versions in Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
