Embarking on this new journey of television after a significant hiatus, I'm filled with a mix of excitement, thrill, and, admittedly, a touch of nervousness. While my last stint in 'Kavach' was just a few months ago, it feels like a distant memory, transitioning from non-fiction to the immersive world of fiction and drama with 'Mangal Lakshmi'. The longing of my fans for my return to the small screen has been a driving force. They constantly inquire about my next project. Despite initially aiming for films and web series after the positive reception of my performance in 'Titu Ambani', the allure of this captivating story and compelling character pulled me in.

During the audition process, I found myself drawn to this role, feeling a genuine connection to it and confident in my ability to bring it to life. The unwavering belief of the entire team at Colors and everyone involved in the show in my capability to portray this character was both humbling and uplifting. Their confidence in me is a profound reminder of the significance of this opportunity, not just for me personally but for the growth and development of an actor. I felt truly blessed that they believed in me and offered me a completely new and challenging role. It's a big deal for any actor, and I knew I had to seize the opportunity. Thankfully, I find myself progressing steadily on this path.

Is there any significant reason for taking up this role?

There are several reasons why I want to return to television. I was searching for a memorable role, one that truly speaks about women. It's challenging, and even I was told how challenging the role is, which was indeed to motivate me further to take it on. When I first read the script and understood the story, I was surprised at how they thought of me for this role. It's a testament to someone believing in my talent and recognising that I can play diverse roles as an actor. I'm grateful to the people around the show and to Colors TV for having faith in me and giving me this opportunity. It's a significant reason why I've decided to take on this role.
