Shah Rukh Khan's latest cinematic venture, "Jawan," has emerged as one of the standout Bollywood successes of the year. The film marks SRK's return to the big screen after a five-year hiatus, following "Pathaan." However, what has been generating buzz about this Atlee directorial is the special appearance by Deepika Padukone, where she portrays the character of Aishwarya Rathore.

In a candid interview with The Week, Deepika was probed about her stance on charging fees for special appearances in films. Her response was clear and striking: "No, I don't." She went on to explain her motivations behind taking up certain roles, emphasizing her decision to be a part of "83" as an homage to the resilience of women who stand behind their husbands' successes, inspired by her own mother's journey. Deepika expressed her desire to pay tribute to the sacrifices made by wives in support of their husbands' careers.

For the unversed, their collaboration extends beyond "Jawan" and includes iconic films like "Om Shanti Om" (her debut), "Happy New Year," as well as memorable cameos in productions such as "Billu" and "Zero."

"Jawan," directed by Atlee Kumar and produced by Gauri Khan, boasts an ensemble cast featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sunil Grover, Sanya Malhotra, and Priyamani, among others. Upon its release on September 7, the film created history by achieving the biggest opening ever for a Bollywood movie, reaffirming Shah Rukh Khan's enduring box office appeal.
