Deepika Padukone REJECTS to star in Aamir Khan starrer 'Mahabharat'

Apparently, Padukone had declined a key role in Aamir's ambitious project.

Deepika Padukone is currently on the ninth cloud. The actress recently got married to the love of her life Ranveer Singh and is enjoying her blissful phase now. Post a dreamy wedding at Lake Como, Italy, the couple threw a grand party for the Bollywood celebrities where the who's who of Bollywood Town was in attendance.

Deepika's husband Ranveer Singh has already got back to work and is currently promoting his upcoming film 'Simmba'. The actor was snapped at the trailer launch of his film earlier this week and will also soon start the promotional rounds of the film.

Speaking of Deepika, the actress will also soon start filming for her next based on a real-life story of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal which will be directed by Meghna Gulzar who recently directed 'Raazi'. For her next project, Deepika will also be donning the producer's hat for the film.

If reports are to go by then Deepika Padukone is reading a few scripts and also will be making announcements about her next projects. Before leaving for her wedding, Deepika was snapped at Aamir Khan's bungalow and there was a strong buzz of the actors collaborating for a project.

Now, rumour has it that Deepika has rejected to star in Aamir's next 'Mahabharat'. As per a report in Mumbai Mirror, Aamir Khan offered the role of Draupadi to Deepika Padukone in his ambitious project. However, she told him a 'NO' for reasons best known to her.
