While the song "Hare Ram Hare Ram" has raced up popularity charts taking the nation by storm, comic-thriller "Bhool Bhulaiyaa" has also had its share of brickbats.

Eccha Foundation, an NGO, had filed a case against producers T-Series for objectionable scenes in the song depicting Lord Buddha. However, the City Civil Court dismissed the notice of motion as the producers have voluntarily deleted the said scenes from the song and secured a censor certificate. The producers reportedly have done so as they do not wish to hurt the religious sentiments of the people.

Majority of cine-goers were expecting "Bhool Bhulaiya" to be a comedy. But the makers and cast have clarified that it is a psychological-thriller. Directed by Priyadarshan and produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar, the film stars Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Shiney Ahuja, Ameesha Patel, Paresh Rawal and Rajpal Yadav.
