CID Returns or CID 2 fans got a shock when news came that ACP Pradyuman’s character will now exit the show. They will show that he has passed away. Yesterday, Sony TV put out a photo of ACP Pradyuman with a message that read: ‘Loving Memory’. This has left fans incensed. Many neutrals said that the channel should have put a disclaimer before putting up such a pic with a tagline like that. Many felt it was unnecessary just to show his demise on the show. It seems Shivaji Satam is going on leave, and the channel has decided on a TRP-raising death sequence to build the hype.

Actor Parth Samthaan is stepping into the shoes of ACP Pradyuman. The news has got a mixed response from people. Shivaji Satam is on leave for an undisclosed period. Parth Samthaan said it is a huge responsibility to play a character as iconic as this one. The name of his character is ACP Ayushmann.

When I discussed it with my family, they thought I was joking. But when I told them I was doing it seriously, they were very proud. It's actually a very big responsibility to fill in such shoes, such humongous shoes of ACP Pradyuman, since I'm replacing him as ACP Ayushmann.
