CID 2 Promo: ACP Pradyuman, Inspector Abhijeet and co's upcoming murder mystery reminds us of THIS film

CID 2/ CID Returns is getting immense love from everyone. It seems the TRPs of the show are really good. The makers have released the new promo on Sony TV’s Instagram handle. This time, the team is headed to a holiday home in a remote island. There they find dead bodies of a few people resumed to be four friends. One of the corpses is absolutely charred. It is discovered that the four were friends from college. A body of one girl is also found who is their female friend. The team deduces that there was one more person who knew a lot of secrets about them.

The island plot is a lot similar to movies like Gumnaam. The old Bollywood movie also had people dying in an island. Those who read mystery fiction might have heard about the novel The Guest List by Lucy Foley. Even in the novel, a group of friends with secrets come together and get killed. The episodes of CID Returns are now available on the YouTube channel of Sony TV. While the second season looks more polished, it has the nostalgia quotient of the original CID series.

BP Singh is still involved as the creative producer of CID 2. He is the man behind iconic shows like Aahat and this detective series. Viewers want a deeper father and daughter bond between Shreya and Inspector Abhijeet. Aditya Srivastava is getting immense love for his performance. This season is packed with intrigue, action, drama and emotion. Murders in locations like islands make for suspenseful stories and we wonder what the team has in store for viewers this Saturday.
