CID, one of India’s most loved and longest-running crime shows, returned in 2024 with a fresh season titled CID 2. The revival brought back the legendary trio — Shivaji Satam as ACP Pradyuman, Dayanand Shetty as Daya, and Aditya Srivastava as Abhijeet — sparking excitement and nostalgia among fans.

Since its return, CID 2 has been in the spotlight, especially after a shocking twist where ACP Pradyuman’s character was shown dead. This allowed actor Parth Samthaan to enter as a new ACP named Ayushman. However, fans were unhappy with the removal of Shivaji Satam’s iconic character. Many took to social media to express disappointment, saying the show didn’t feel the same without ACP Pradyuman.

Recently, Parth Samthaan shared a behind-the-scenes video on social media featuring Shivaji Satam, sparking buzz about Pradyuman’s return. Now, putting all speculation to rest, the makers have officially confirmed his comeback with a brand-new promo.

Sony TV released a new promo for CID 2, where Shivaji Satam returns as ACP Pradyuman. In the video, Pradyuman is seen in a tense exchange with ACP Ayushman. Meanwhile, Abhijeet is on a risky mission and uncovers a case full of loopholes. During a dramatic rescue of a child, Abhijeet gets shot twice. Daya, sensing something’s wrong, rushes to inform Ayushman, but his concerns are ignored. The promo ends with the question, “Kya Abhijeet iss baar bach payenge?” (Will Abhijeet survive this time?)

Earlier, in an exclusive interview with India Forums, Shivaji Satam shared that he wasn’t aware of the plot twist and had only taken a temporary break from the show. His comments added fuel to the ongoing buzz about his return.

Adding to the excitement, Shivaji Satam had recently posted a photo on Instagram with the famous dialogue “Kuch to gadbad hai.” The post quickly went viral, leaving fans hopeful.
