Chhaava: Vicky Kaushal’s Stunning Transformation into Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Revealed in BTS Video

Vicky Kaushal is basking in the success of his latest release, Chhaava, which has been receiving rave reviews from audiences. His portrayal of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the Maratha warrior king, has been widely appreciated. However, behind the scenes, Vicky had to go through intense physical training to bring this larger-than-life character to life on screen.

On Tuesday, the makers of Chhaava shared an exclusive behind-the-scenes video titled 'The Making of a Warrior King'. The footage reveals the actor's commitment to his role, including a moment where Vicky can be seen yelling ‘Chhaava’ while being tied up with a rope. The video also offered a peek into the movie's grand sets, which were meticulously designed to showcase the era of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.

Vicky shared his experience of preparing for the role in the BTS clip and said, “We had rigorous training for horse riding, and extensive weapon training. We trained with lathis, swords, and spears too. On each day, we had 6-8 hours of training. Every night I went home, I could see new bruises in my body." His dedication and physical transformation have certainly impressed fans, making his portrayal even more authentic.

Directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan under the banner of Maddock Films, Chhaava is a historical drama that delves into the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the eldest son of the great Maratha king, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Alongside Vicky Kaushal, the film stars Rashmika Mandanna, Akshaye Khanna, Ashutosh Rana, and Divya Dutta in pivotal roles, bringing to life the epic saga of the Maratha empire.
