Canadian PM Justin Trudeau Continues Self Isolation after Wife Sophie Recovers from Coronavirus

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s wife Sophie had tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this month. In a recent statement shared by her, she announced that she has recovered from the virus. 

While Sophie has recovered from the deadly virus, Justin asserted that he will continue to self-isolate. “I have to continue in isolation in order to be sure that we're following all the protocols and the recommendations by Health Canada,” he said. 

Trudeau entered self-isolation on March 12 after Sophie tested positive for COVID-19.

“I am feeling so much better and have received the all-clear from my physician and Ottawa Public Health. From the bottom of my heart, I want to say thank you to everyone who reached out to me with their well wishes. And to everyone who is suffering right now, I send you all my love,” Sophie wrote on Facebook.

Trudeau also announced new funding of millions of dollars to help children, seniors and the homeless affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. "We promise to help everyone through this tough time.”
