Boney Kapoor on Khushi's debut with The Archies: Who doesn’t like getting attention?

Since the poster and teaser of Zoya Akhtar's film The Archies is out, it has been generating a lot of buzz all over. In the teaser, we can see Khushi Kapoor as Betty Cooper, Suhana Khan as Veronica Lodge, and Agastya Nanda as Archie.

Boney Kapoor has spoken out about his and late actor Sridevi's youngest daughter, Khushi Kapoor, making her debut appearance. Arjun Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor, two of Boney Kapoor's children, are already actors, and Khushi will take forward in the acting arena.

Boney Kapoor described The Archies as a "dream project." Khushi's desire to become an actor was also discussed by the filmmaker, who disclosed that she had originally planned to pursue modelling, among other things.

Shedding light on the question of whether Khushi always wanted to pursue acting just like her mother, Boney was quoted,

 "Kids don’t come out with their true ambitions right from the start. Finally, when they cross the age of 19-20, the thought that they want to act develops firmly in their mind. Who doesn’t like glamour? Who doesn’t like getting attention? Everyone in the world likes it whether it is in the entertainment field, academic field, or sports world."

Khushi began considering a career in acting when her older sister Janhvi Kapoor began working on her debut film Dhadak which was released in July 2018. Sridevi passed just a few months before her eldest daughter made her acting debut, but she had encouraged her to pursue her dream. The late star would have done the same for their younger daughter Khushi, according to Boney.

The Archies will mark the big debut of the cream star kids of B-Town.  It will be released on Netflix in 2023 and also features Dot, Mihir Ahuja, Vedang Raina, and Yuvraj Menda.
