Bigg Boss OTT's Zeeshan Khan: Would love if me wearing a bathrobe at the airport paved my path into the show

Actor Zeeshan Khan is all set to make his way into Bigg Boss OTT and he has been grabbing headlines for a while now. He started his journey with the show Kuch Toh Hain Tere Mere Darmiyaan and was later seen in the role of Aryan in the popular show Kumkum Bhagya. Ahead of his entry,  India Forums got in touch with him and he spoke about his prep for Bigg Boss OTT, if he is nervous about the journey, and his expectations from the reality show. 

Usually, anyone coming on Bigg Boss is prepared with the usual tropes but considering this is an entirely new format in the form of OTT, how did you prepare yourself for this one?

I haven’t been able to prepare at all as things happened suddenly and before I knew it, I had to get quarantined for the show.  Having said that, nothing can prepare you for Bigg Boss. It's truly a game of the unexpected.  

What is your biggest fear of entering the show?

To disappoint my audience.  I want to make sure that I make my current fans proud and gain the love of many more.  

There isn't much clarity on how will the OTT contestants continue to be on the televised Bigg Boss 15, would you like to be on that and have an extended run?

Of course, one of the biggest perks of doing Bigg Boss is the interactions on the weekend with Salman Khan.  And hence I am really looking forward to the televised version and reaching there will be a win in itself.  

4What is the one thing you have decided to change or challenge about yourself with your stint in the show?

There are no changes, the challenge is this entire show. To be locked up in a house, to become a lot more independent, to be able to stay sane and let my true personality shine in the show – all these are challenges I’m looking forward to.  

Controversies do form the root of that show that Bigg Boss is, while you never thought of the airport episode to be a big deal, would you agree that is something that added to your chances of being on BB?

I would love it if me wearing a bathrobe at the airport paved a path for me to do Bigg Boss but honestly, this is a question only the makers can answer. They grill us, they understand us and then sign us. I guess that there’s a lot more to it. It may have acted as a catalyst but again only the makers can truly answer this.  

You will be competing with a lot of known faces on the show, and since only 3 will make it to BB15 on TV, how confident/nervous, are you?

I had no idea that only 3 will make it. I’m excited and Bigg Boss puts everyone on the same pedestal. We’ve had many winners who weren’t the most popular faces, this game can change anything! I want to make sure that I’m going into the televised version and then emerging as a winner!  Miles to go, and I’m all ready to walk endlessly for the next six months to reach my target!  There’s no giving up here.
