Bharat brings about a sense of unity in people: Kangana Ranaut

On Army Day i.e. 15th January 2019 the makers of Manikarnika decided to go one step ahead by launching and unveiling the Bharat song simultaneously at the same time at 5 different cities in India and what better than a multi-city song launch for celebrating Indian spirit through Bharat song from Manikarnika where four regional singers sang song in four completely diverse languages. 

The song describes and chronicles Rani Lakshmi Bai's bravery and valor coupled with her fighting spirit in the film. This new age patriotic anthem has been inked and written with mellifluous lyrics by ace and prolific lyricist Prasoon Joshi and has been sung by a legendary singer with a golden voice Shankar Mahadevan.

Zee Studios putting their best foot forward has also introduced and started a radio campaign, where audiences and listeners from different parts of India can sing this particular song in their respected native languages.

Sharing his love for Rani Lakshmi Bai through Bharat song, Prasoon Joshi tells, "The feeling of love for our country is deep-seated in all of us and I feel fortunate to be able to express my love through words. When you feel deeply about something, then creation is effortless. Bharat is just an extension of what I feel. Since the song was launched on Army Day, we dedicate it to the Indian Army".

On same lines, Director Kangana Ranaut revealed, "I was looking for a song that would spark the spirit of nationhood in everybody and bring about a sense of unity in people. India is a country with multiple religions, cultures, languages, and traditions. We wanted a song that would create a sense of togetherness. I think we have achieved that with Bharat - it's a new age mile sur mera tumhara".

Legendary musical maestro Shankar Mahadevan also added saying, "Bharat encapsulates the essence of Manikarnika. While composing and singing it, I felt proud and blessed that we got an opportunity of a lifetime to compose for a film that narrates the story of one of most iconic legends from our history. Prasoon, as usual, excelled in his lyrics and this song will remain in heart of every Indian".

Manikarnika produced by Zee Studios in association with Kamal Jain releases on 25th January 2019 simultaneously in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages.
