#BestOf2016: 9 Animals that made their Debuts on Television this year!

After the success of shows like Naagin, Indian TV producers understood that if they put an animal on their show, their TRP's will rise high. That's when a lot of animals started being introduced. Let's take a look at the top 9 animals that made their debut on Indian television this year!

This animal/insect became the most popular animal on a daily soap. In the show Sasural Simar Ka, Simar transformed into a housefly and this sequence went viral on the internet and is considered as one of the biggest WTF moment of Indian television!

This year, not one but three buffalos made their debuts. One entered Yeh Kaha Aa Gaye Hum and one entered Naagin 2 recently. Out of all the animals, we chose to select an Icchadari Saand! And now, another Buffalo is about to enter Bahu Hamari Rajnikant!

Even though we have seen a lot of Icchadaari Snakes, for the first time, Nagarjun- Ek Yoddha featured an Icchadari Python! He was the mightiest of all snakes and did make a good addition to the show.

An Icchadari Eagle recently entered the show Icchapyaari Naagin. The bad Naagin basically hired him to do her dirty work and kill Iccha. Eagles kill snakes very often and pretty easily, but not on this show.

This was probably the worst looking animal to enter a show! The gorilla didn't even look like a real gorilla and the costume looked like it was bought for cheap from China!

Naagin 2 introduced a variety of characters this year. We have never heard of an Icchadari Peacock and the peacock was also a valuable addition to their storyline.

With so many snakes on Indian Television, there was a strong need for their archnemesis, the mongoose. Honestly, this was the funniest looking mongoose that we have ever seen because it somewhat looked like a wild boar!

Since Simar was feeling lonely post her shoots, the makers of Naagin 2 decided to add an Icchadari Honeybee to their show. This Honeybee was a very important character on the show and the audience totally loved her role.

In the show Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, Ishita fought hand to jaw with a crocodile. Steve Irvin, the expert crocodile hunter died while fighting one, but not Ishita!
