Ruhaanika Dhawann, widely recognized for her childhood role as Ruhi Bhalla in the TV show Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, is celebrating a big personal milestone. At 17, she has secured an impressive 91% in her Class 12 International Baccalaureate (IB) exams, the results of which were released on May 20.

Speaking about her success, Ruhaanika shared that she’s proud of her hard work and the outcome. She said that stepping away from acting for three years to focus on her studies was a tough but rewarding decision.

Her parents, she said, are thrilled with her results and always supported her academic goals. “While many people my age were working in films or TV, I decided to give all my attention to school,” she said. “My parents always believed in me, and I’m glad I could meet their expectations.”

Ruhaanika has completed her education under the Cambridge A-level curriculum and has developed a strong interest in business and economics. She now plans to pursue a degree in economics and is considering adding international relations or entrepreneurship as a minor.

She is currently preparing for entrance exams at top colleges across Maharashtra and other parts of India. College, she said, will allow her more flexibility, which she hopes to use to return to acting.

Ruhaanika also mentioned that she has decided to continue living in India for now. After discussing it with her parents, they felt it would be better for her to stay close to home. “They think I’m still too young to move abroad on my own, and I agree. Plus, staying here keeps me close to acting, which I really love,” she said.

Besides her television work, Ruhaanika has appeared in Bollywood films like Jai Ho and Ghayal Once Again. In 2023, she made headlines after buying her own home at just 15 years old.
