Behenein celebrates Sangeet in style!

Marriages have always been a grand affair in India. Star Plus and Hats Off Productions' Behenein too has an impending marriage and their sangeet celebration hinted that this television marriage too will be on a big scale!

The sangeet featured Bollywood style dance over an array of songs in which Ojaswi Oberoi, Adaaa Khan, Alisha Khan and Shiju Kataria performed. They were slightly out of sync but instead of tarnishing the dance, it made it feel like it was indeed a family affair! This was followed by a group of dandiya dancers setting the whole ground on fire!

There were beautiful tents erected with curtains of mirror work. In one tent sat a lakh (lacquer) bangle artist where you could get custom made bangles for yourself. However, there was a limit. Just one per person. There's something about weddings called budget you see.

Under another tent sat a mehndi (henna) artist. All girls enjoyed themselves treating them to this work of art on their palms.

Bringing us back to the fact that this is a reel wedding and not a real one was the announcement of the anchor asking everyone to take their seats so that the press conference could begin.

Talking about the USP of Behenein J. D. Majethia says, "Even after all the girls get married, there remains a certain bond of sisterhood unifying them no matter how far apart from each other they are. The show's core idea is that, if every girl (ladki) is alone, she will be like a like a single stick (lakdi) that can be broken easily. However, if all the girls are united they can be very strong indeed. So this bond is better if it remains unaffected and doesn't wear out."

The evening ended with an open-air buffet and an open bar!
