BB 16: Shalin's parents write an open letter in regards to the death threats he received on the show

Last night witnessed an absolute showdown between the likes of Shalin Bhanot and MC Stan where it all began with the nomination task. What started with a casual war of words transpired into the two of them being at loggerheads where the housemates even tried to intervene multiple times to stop it from being escalated.

One of the talking points for the fans of Bhanot and a lot of other general Bigg Boss viewers as well became the array of threats that Stan would mouth and unleash on Bhanot that even included straight-up death threats.

While, Bhanot dealt with it in his own way, its seems the actor's parents are worried about it here outside.

His parents went on to take to their son's social media and went on to post an open letter to the fans that basically marked about how they are genuinely worried after their son received death threats on national television.

With the caption, "Let’s Keep The Competition Healthy and Safe 🙏#ShalinBhanot #BiggBoss @voot @colorstv @endemolshineind @vootselect", here is what they posted-

As one can see, the post was written to the Bigg Boss family, and it read, "Namaste and thank you for all the love you have all been

showering on our son Shalin. Shalin signed up for this truly amazing journey, the one with lots of challenges. We are sure he will come out emerging as a winner of hearts and love. However, we are worried! Last night seeing our son get death threats on national television has been worrisome. Post the episode, the threats have continued to pour in via fandoms and we wonder how is this ok? It’s a reality show but at the end of the day, it’s for entertainment. Why are we bringing life and death and death threats in to this all? Our family is genuinely worried and we want to know how is this allowed on national television? We are worried about our son, his safety and the safety of our family! There’s nothing beyond our son’s happiness and safety that matters to us."

Well, post this and the fight between Stan and Bhanot not really stopping, we wonder what will happen next and and if host Salman Khan will raise this issue on Weekend Ka Vaar.
