Barun Sobti addresses rumours of replacing Ankit Gupta opposite Priyanka Chahar in Tere Ho Jaayein Hum

The show Tere Ho Jaayein Hum, initially starring Priyanka Chahar Choudhary and Ankit Gupta, garnered significant attention. However, rumors of their relationship's end soon surfaced, leading to Ankit's reported exit from the show. Subsequently, speculation arose regarding Barun Sobti's potential involvement as the male lead opposite Priyanka. Amidst the ongoing discussions, Barun Sobti has now addressed the rumors while talking to Pinkvilla, offering clarity on his status with the project.

Barun Sobti clarified his involvement in Tere Ho Jaayein Hum. During Behind the Success, a fan inquired if he was starring opposite Priyanka Chahar Choudhary.

Replying to this question, Barun denied these speculations and said, "No, I don't think so. No idea. Not that my manager think so, I think (laughs)." He denied the role, confirming he wouldn't be in the show.

Tere Ho Jaayein Hum has been generating a lot of excitement since its announcement. The actors shared the news on social media, but Ankit Gupta abruptly left the show following breakup rumors.

Tere Ho Jaayein Hum would have been Priyanka Chahar Choudhary and Ankit Gupta's first fictional show together since Bigg Boss 16, where they shared a strong bond.

Barun Sobti also shared an update on Asur 3. He confirmed the script is finished but filming hasn't begun yet. While the team is gearing up, it will take time for production. However, he assured fans that Asur Season 3 is definitely in the works, promising more to come.

Barun Sobti noted that Asur shifted his public image, highlighting his serious acting skills. He praised the show's writing and shared his initial reaction to being approached for the role, emphasizing its impact on his career. “It was a very well-written show. It was terrific. In fact, the first time I was approached, I was like mujhe kyun le rahe ho sir, achha likha hai (Why are you casting me),” said Sobti and chuckled.
