Barkha and Mahrru go hand in hand...

Barkha Bisht is surely one talented dancer in Sahara One’s Saas V/s Bahu. But, wonder what if Barkha does not like the particular number given to her? Apparently, it is heard that she was given the song ‘Yeh Mera Dil’ from Don in her introductory act, but the actress preferred to dance on a Madhuri number and changed the song to ‘Koi Aaye Leke Pyaar’ from Sailaab.

Barkha managed to talk to the producers and got the number changed. “I have a very simple logic. If you want to dance well, you have to like the song. And I know my limitations as a dancer, so I want to choose a song that I think I can do the best in. I don’t want to dance if I can’t do justice to it. Like, I can’t dance to a very slow number, so I have it changed to a faster number”, reasons out Barkha.

Well, if this was not enough, Barkha again changed the number for her duet performance with her saas, Mahhru Shaikh, but confusion crept in when Mahhru was not informed of the change and she continued to rehearse for the song ‘Ni Main Samaj Gayi’ from Taal. While Barkha is quick enough to get her steps right, Mahhru is not as adept a dancer. She requested Barkha not to change the song as she is a slow learner and would not be able to cope up so quickly.

But Barkha encouraged her Saas and asked to rehearse the whole day, told her that if she did not get it right, then they can track back to the old song. “Mahrru is a sweetheart and very, very co-operative. The very next day she practiced many steps of our new song ‘Taal Se Taal Mila’. I was so touched by her gesture! We changed some steps here and there to make it easier for her. This was the least I could do for her,” says Barkha.
