Akshay Kumar as Bachchhan Paandey

Amongst the long list of films that superstar Akshay Kumar has in his kitty, one can only imagine not a long time passing by without a trailer or any sort of announcement that involves him. It was just over a week ago when the announcement teaser of Kumar's collaboration with Tiger Shroff in the form of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan was out.

And now, here we are with a power-packed masala trailer of Kumar's next and possibly biggest outing for a while, Bachchhan Paandey. The film as we know stars Kumar in the titular role and has Kriti Sanon, Arshad Warsi, Jacqueline Fernandez and Pankaj Tripathi playing important roles.

Kumar stars as Bachchhan Paandey, a rural thug who rules his village and kills people for pure joy and nothing else. This story fascinates Myra (Kriti Sanon) who wants to make a biopic film on this character but her ally Vishu (Arshad Warsi) warns her not to do it while being scared about the idea himself. Nevertheless, Myra and Vishu set out to try and connect the dots to meet this figure in order to get an inside look for her film and even convince him to shoot for extra footage. Needless to say, this turns into chaos and the duo find themselves in extreme danger while Bachchhan Paandey deals with some unanticipated instances.

Apart from the trailer being as eventful as you expect it to be, it is Sanon and Warsi's goofy chemistry that stands out particularly, The comedy is on-point and the referential joke of Munnabhai and Circuit being pitched at Warsi, who played Circuit himself was the scene-stealer. Kumar looks the perfect blend of menacing with his glass eye and rugged look as Bachchhan Paandey and also has you laughing in a couple of funny scenes.

The film is directed by Farhad Samji and producer by Sajid Nadiadwala. Bachchhan Paandey is set to release on 18th March 2022 only in cinemas.
