Azaad Box Office Day 3: Aaman Devgan, Rasha Thadani Starrer Disappoints with ?4.25 Crore Weekend Collection

Azaad, the directorial debut of Abhishek Kapoor, introduced newcomers Aaman Devgan and Rasha Thadani to the silver screen. Despite high hopes, the movie struggled to garner an audience during its opening weekend. The film, which had an ambitious action-adventure theme set in a period era, couldn't overcome its weak start.

The film, produced by RSVP Movies, opened with a mere Rs 1.50 crore on its debut day, even benefiting from special pricing on Cinema Lovers Day. The following day, the film witnessed a drop in collections, earning only Rs 1.25 crore. By the end of the third day, Azaad collected another Rs 1.50 crore, taking its total to a disappointing Rs 4.25 crore over the opening weekend.

Despite the presence of Ajay Devgn in an extended cameo, the movie failed to draw in audiences. Reviews for Azaad were average, and the film couldn't generate the much-needed positive word-of-mouth. This lack of excitement left Azaad struggling to hold its ground at the box office.

The film’s future in theatres looks grim as it continues to battle low attendance. Had Azaad received rave reviews, it might have had a chance for a better run. But with Akshay Kumar’s Sky Force and Shahid Kapoor’s Deva set to release in the coming weeks, Azaad may soon see its box office journey cut short.
