Ayesha is one of the most beautiful souls I have met and even if her fans hate me, it’s fine: Sheetal Maulik

Star Plus show ‘Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin’ (GHKKPM) is getting quite interesting with each passing episode. Sai and Virat have decided to remain friends and are in a good space. However, Sonali and Omkar are quite against Sai and they get offended often with Sai getting utmost respect and priority in the house.

Initially, Sonali’s character was shown to be most influenced by Bhavani and Ninad. However, in the current track, while Bhavani and Ninad are favouring Sai, Sonali still has issues with her.

India Forums got in touch with actress Sheetal Maulik who plays the character of Sonali Chavan in the show and asked her about the graph of her character, she said, “Well, in a daily soap, characters seem to change according to the track but everything has a twist to it. As far as my character in ‘Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin’ is concerned, it’s just showing a different angle of Sonali … because the character is opportunist … she stays calm when she knows situation is not in her hand and takes every chance to prove her superiority when she has feels the time is right”.

We ask the gorgeous actress if she feels emotionally drained and affected by playing a grey shade character, Sheetal quipped, “Frankly speaking, the answer is NO. Nothing burdens an individual than his own thoughts … When I play Sonali, I am playing a character, I am nowhere like her… So, I leave her aura on the set and go home with a happy mind … Hence, it doesn’t burden me… Also, I have this ability to switch on and switch off, so when I am not giving my shot, I put the switch off and continue being my own self”.

When asked wheather she receive hate comments from Ayesha Singh aka Sai fans, she said, “People have seen me in different characters; from playing leads to strong positive role to strong negative once … So most of them take me as an actor and not as a character that I’m playing … I do get feedback’s like “please don’t hate Sai”, “We know you’re not  like that” … because Sai (Ayesha Singh) and I share a very strong bond off-screen … she is one of the most beautiful souls that I’ve met in recent times … and even if Sai fans hate me it’s fine. That only shows how much she is been loved and I am happy about that cause that totally works for my show”.
