Ashneer Grover, former Shark Tank India judge and BharatPe co-founder, has once again made headlines. This time, he has fired back at Bollywood superstar Salman Khan over their heated exchange on Bigg Boss 18. The controversy, which began two months ago during a Weekend Ka Vaar episode, resurfaced after Ashneer addressed the incident at NIT Kurukshetra. A viral video from the event shows him taking a dig at Salman for unnecessarily picking a fight with him.

In the viral clip, Ashneer is seen addressing students and recalling his Bigg Boss 18 experience. He said, (He created unnecessary competition by picking a fight. I went there peacefully when I was invited. And now, just to create drama, he says, ‘Oh, I never even met you. I don’t even know your name.’ If you didn’t know my name, then why did you call me?)

Ashneer Grover Calls Out Salman Khan’s Statement

During Bigg Boss 18, Salman claimed he had never met Ashneer before. However, Ashneer strongly denied this and pointed out that Salman was once the brand ambassador of BharatPe. He said, “Aur ek baat main bata deta hun. Tum agar meri company ke brand ambassador the toh aisa nahi ho sakta ki tum merese bina mile brand ambassador ban gaye. Mai bhi kamino ki tarah hi company chalata tha. Everything had to go through me."

Salman Khan’s Reaction on Bigg Boss 18

The argument between the two started after Ashneer had previously mentioned in an interview that he met Salman during a sponsored ad shoot. He claimed that Salman’s manager had told him that the actor wouldn’t take a picture with him.

On the show, Salman confronted Ashneer, saying, “Meeting was not held with you but with your team. Maybe you were also present there. We have not had any discussions. I saw what you said. You presented that we befooled you. This is wrong. Those numbers were wrong.”

Ashneer, however, remained silent for most of the conversation and later apologized to Salman. He admitted that making Salman the brand ambassador was a smart move and clarified that he never intended to disrespect him.

Salman further added, “The way you are talking, you did not have the same attitude in that video. I do not feel bad about anything, but it is not right to give a wrong impression about anyone. I just got to know that you are coming here. I did not know your name also. Since I had seen your video, I recognized your face. I think you should be careful about how you present yourself.”

The controversy continues to spark discussions among fans, with some supporting Ashneer’s bold statements while others siding with Salman Khan.
