"As an actor, The Buddy Project is an award for me" : Bharti Kumar

Young and pretty actress Bharti Kumar aka Kiya of Channel Vâ€™s The Buddy Project Season 2 - Now in College talks about her experience of playing the character of Kiya and about her passion for dancingâ€¦

Apart from being a talented actress and gaining immense popularity from Sunshine Productions' popular show The Buddy Project Season 2 - Now in College on Channel V, Bharti is a talented dancer too. Yes, the pretty girl loves to dance and she is a trained dancer as well. She is happy playing the role of Kiya in the show through which she got to learn a lot many things.

TellyBuzz spoke to Bharti to know more about her experience of playing Kiya in the show and about her dancing talent.

It's challenging as well as a wonderful experience to play Kiya - "The Buddy Project is just like a baby for us. The show is very close to my heart and all my co-actors as well. The journey has been really great so far. I have got to learn a lot from the show which makes me feel like I am at the best place to work in. Kiya's character has evolved every time in the show as the story has progressed. There have been happy moments, depressing moments; it has been challenging but at the same time it's wonderful also."

I have learned a lot from Kiya - "It's more situational in life. There are times when some scenes come across to us which makes us feel like we go through such situation in our real life too. Initially, I didn't relate to Kiya as she was bold where in real life I am not. I have learned a lot from Kiya by playing that character by how she feels and emotes."

I would always like to play something more challenging - "I kind of freak out things whenever I think of playing a typical bahu on-screen but it actually depend upon how the story and the show is! If it will be a typical bahu kind of a role then I would not like to do it but yes, if there it is a women-oriented role and a girl is shown taking a stand on a certain issue despite being married then I would like to play those role which will be more challenging."

Dance is my passion - "I am a trained dancer and I know almost all kind of dance forms like Contemporary, Jazz, Kathak, Bharatnatyam, etc. and I also know the basics of Martial Arts and Yoga. I am very attached to the Contemporary dance form which is a very organic form of dance where you can emote anything in any way of movement. Dancing is my passion as it makes me happier. Whenever I get some time, I watch videos and choreograph something on my own. I hardly get time to dance out because of my busy schedule but when I get, I practice. I am eagerly waiting for an opportunity to participate in Jhalak Dikhla Jaa."

The Buddy Project is an award for me as an actor - "I used to participate in the co-curricular activities in my schools and I have got many certificates and medals for that. I have been the house captain of my school and I was very much active in sports and I have played baseball at a district level, I was interested in swimming as well. Now, as an actor being a part of The Buddy Project is an award for me."
