Artists Ananya Banerjee and Kazi Anirban came together in a unique show at Gallery Art Desh, Tardeo on 19th Dec. Their works show mixed media on canvas, acrylic and oil on canvas and mixed media on paper and are about people. Ananya a lawyer who pursued her passion - painting, says, "People I meet, intreact with, in my day to day life, they come alive on canvas. Sometime, I only show women in my canvas. As a woman, the emotions I go through, I portray.... I showcase that in my works. Sometimes my relationship with different people, the human emotions I go through, all that subconsciously get reflected on my canvas." Sagarika Ghatge, Garry Richardson, director Saurabh Sengupta, DJ Vipin, artists Rajat Dhar, Monica Jhaveri, Gautam Patole, Daksha Khandwala, Milon Mukherjee, Prithvi Soni, Sameer Mondal, Shristi Rao, Samir Mondal, Milon Mukharjee, Prithvi Soni, Chiru and Rachna Chakraborty, Madhusudan, producer Vineet Agarwal among others graced the occasion.Said Sagarika Ghatge, "I think that Ananya being a woman herself portrays emotions beautifully on canvas. The people have a life and thought of their own, And I liked Anirban's work as well." a Artist Rajat Dhar found the works likable,"I know Ananya since long and found her improving tremendously every exhibition. This growth is what makes the difference."
