Arjun Kapoor to star in father Boney Kapoor’s next!

Right now, Bollywood is going through a phase where every movie is either being remade, revamped or getting a sequel. Many movies are being made in different languages, the story of the movie and the makers remains the same but actors change as per the language. After the release of movies like Kabir Singh, and Prassthanam, the recent movie to join the bandwagon is Tamil hit Comali.

Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor is all set to star in Hindi remake of the Tamil hit Comali. Producer Boney Kapoor, who made a foray into Tamil film industry with the remake of Pink, superstar Ajith starrer Nerkonda Paarvaai, has acquired the remake rights of the Tamil hit.

“We are pleased to have acquired remake rights of Comali for all languages in the world. In Hindi remake, Arjun will star,” Boney said in a statement.

Comali is about a man who faces difficulties in adjusting with the current era after waking up from coma. The original film, written and directed by Pradeep Ranganathan, starred Jayam Ravi, Kajal Aggarwal and Samyuktha Hegde in the lead roles.

Boney is currently producing Maidaan with Ajay Devgn and directed by Amit Sharma, while his first Telugu film, an official remake of Badhaai Ho is slated to go on floors soon.

For the past few months, Arjun Kapoor has been in the news for not his relationship with Malaika Arora and his workout photos and videos as he preps for his upcoming movie Panipat but also for his constant knack of trolling his co-stars and friends from Bollywood.

On the work front, Arjun Kapoor who was last seen India’s Most Wanted will be seen in Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar opposite Parineeti Chopra and Ashutosh Gowarikar’s Panipat alongside Kriti Sanon and Sanjay Dutt.

Talking about how it feels to work with Sanjay Dutt, Arjun revealed, “Sanju sir is someone who I have looked up to as a child. We have all grown up watching Sanju sir. We know him as an actor and a star whose personality is larger than life. He is like a child. He is so humble. It is difficult to imagine that he is the villain of the film because he is so nice. He starts playing with your cheeks and you forget that you are Sadashivrao Bhau and he is Ahmedshah Abdali.”
