'Are re' tops Telugu music charts

Hyderabad, Jan 23 (IANS) The album 'Happy Days' continues to be on top of the Telugu audio list, thanks to the song 'Are re, are re'. A song from 'Krishna' figures among the chartbusters.

The top five Telugu songs are:

1. 'Are re, are re' - Film: 'Happy Days' - Mickey Meyer's musical score is immensely popular. The song, sung by Karthik, is orchestrated well and has a melodic feel to it.

2. 'Yeduta Nilichindi Choodu' - Film: 'Vaana' Karthik sings this soft, rather melodious, number composed by Kamlakar and the lilting music lingers on even after the song ends, particularly the first line. 'Vaana', the Telugu remake of the Kannada hit 'Mungaaru Male', has some good music and this is one of the sonorous songs.

3. 'Taratha yethukupota' - Film: 'Krishna' - This song is sung by Kunche Raghu and Kausalya and Chakri composes music for the number.

4. 'Okka Maagadu' - Film: 'Okka Magaadu'. This is the title track of the film written by Chandra Bose and composed by Mani Sarma. Rita and Bhargavi sing the song. Like most Telugu songs, this song too has some English lyrics in it.

5. 'Maha Maha' - Film: 'Mantra' - A typical Western techno number with an interesting beat, it is rendered by Madhumita and Noelsen.
