AP Dhillon Criticizes Ticket Pricing Strategies in the Music Industry, Hints at Diljit Dosanjh

AP Dhillon has opened up about an ongoing issue in the music industry regarding ticket sales, and fans are connecting his remarks to Diljit Dosanjh. The feud between the two Punjabi stars has been making waves after AP Dhillon mentioned that Diljit had blocked him on Instagram during a live concert. While he didn’t name Diljit explicitly, his comments have sparked speculation about a potential rift between the two.

Speaking on Ranveer Allahbadia’s podcast, AP Dhillon revealed how some artists sell tickets to promoters before making them available to fans. This forces fans to buy tickets later at inflated prices. He criticized this practice, saying, “India mein abhi crisis aa jayega agar isi hisab se chalta raha (There’ll come a crisis in India if things go on like this). Artists are being unfair with their own fans ki 15 seconds mein sell out ho gaye shows. Kuchh bhi sell out nahi hua hai (that shows sold out within 15 seconds. Nothing is sold out). It’s all a way of marketing.”

AP elaborated further, explaining how fans end up paying higher prices due to this strategy. “Promoters ko ticket de dete hain. Their fans, ab unko wait karna padta hai, aur higher price mein ticket khareedna padta hai (They sell tickets to promoters. The fans have to wait and buy tickets at higher prices)," he said. AP admitted that he had considered following this strategy but chose against it. He said, “At some point, humein bhi yehi laga (we also thought), should we play this game? But I’m like no, we can’t go to bed knowing that jinhone show dekhne aana tha, humne unke sath aise kiya (those who wanted to attend the show, we did this to them)."

Calling it a “dirty game,” AP emphasized that fans deserve fair treatment and reasonably priced tickets. He believes artists should avoid such practices and focus on respecting their audience.

The tension between AP Dhillon and Diljit Dosanjh reportedly began when Diljit, during a concert in Indore, gave a shoutout to AP Dhillon and Karan Aujla. AP later asked Diljit to unblock him during his own concert in Chandigarh. Although Diljit denied ever blocking him and shared screenshots, AP’s “before and after” video seemed to confirm his claim, escalating the feud further.
