Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma who were expecting their first baby have been blessed with a baby girl. The couple welcomed their bundle of joy this afternoon, January 11, 2021.

When contacted, a close source has revealed that both mother and the baby are in the pink of their health and soon after the baby's delivery when Virat was given the news he was in tears.

Now, the proud father Virat took to his social media account to share the big news with the world. Sharing two photos with the baby announcement message, one in Hindi and one in English, Virat captioned it with a red heart emoji.

The message read:

We are thrilled to share with you that we have been blessed with a baby girl this afternoon. We thank you all for your love, prayers and good wishes. Anushka and the baby are both healthy and we are feeling beyond blessed to start this new chapter of our lives. We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time. Love, Virat.

It was in August last year, Anushka announced the news of her pregnancy in an Instagram post, in which she was seen flaunting her baby bump as she was standing next to Virat. She captioned the post, “And then, we were three! Arriving Jan 2021.”
