Anushka Sharma shares BTS pictures from 'Qala'; exudes retro diva vibes with a monochrome touch

Anushka Sharma, who was most recently seen in the 2018 movie Zero, co-starring Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif, makes a special appearance in Anvitaa Dutt's Qala. The film also starring Tripti Dimri in a lead makes for late Irrfan Khan's son Babil Khan's acting debut.

Anushka shared a bunch of BTs photos of herself from the sets of Qala on Instagram today. She appeared in a black-and-white scene during the song Ghode Pe Sawaar in Qala and was seen in a vintage appearance.

Anushka flaunted a short hairstyle with her plain saree and heavy pearl jewellery in the black and white pictures. She appeared in a few photographs holding a white feather, and she appeared in a scene from the song, which was performed by Triptii Dimri's character Qala in the film, while standing on a cardboard moon. 

Sharing the pictures, she wrote, “Koi unhe kaise yeh samjhaye, Anvitaa Dutta aap hi yeh batain (how to make them understand, you only tell me Anvitaa). Loved loved loved being a part of Qala’s journey!”

Earlier, Anushka had taken to her Instagram handle and lauded the film and the stars. She penned a note that read, "A daughter’s heartbreaking yearning for her mother’s love. Qala is a work of art. It’s heartbreaking and exhilarating equally. Exhilarating because of the genius of each department that comes through in telling this detailed story and heartbreaking for portraying emotional abuse by an emotionally unstable parent in a way that had never been done before by a film..".

In the psychological drama Qala, a young singer struggles to win her mother's favour while being tormented by her past. The film is currently streaming on Netflix.
